I have been here a few times and have always had a decent experience. I LOVE their sours so much. Listen to Missy Elliot is an all time favorite of mine and I wish they carried it all the time. I also really like the orange creamsicle. Most recently, I came here for funk fest. It was a bit disorganized. You had to wait in line outside in the back parking lot to get a sour flight or even just a cup with one of the sours. I waited over an hour in the sun. There could have maybe been some tables down there as well, the top patio was packed and people were saving seats and hogging whole tables. I haven't had the food here in years but the last time I ate here the burgers were very good.
Def a college town bar and it gets mighty packed, especially on taco/trivia night. So for $15, you get two of their signature weekly tacos AND two beers of choice. This is just LIT. For $15?!?! Count me in. We went, we were late to trivia but played along ourselves (kicked ass btw and had every question correct) and enjoyed the atmosphere. We also had loaded mac n cheese of the week which was a jambalaya type, loaded with sausage, chicken and shrimp. The fruited sours were flippin amazing- mr goofy pancakes and some coconut concoction which blew my mind. If i am back in Morgantown, I will be returning here fo sho
I haven't been here since before the pandemic happened but my boyfriend and I were in town and decided to stop in for lunch. I expected it would probably be a bit different (I know that's not their fault, the pandemic caused a lot of problems for most restaurants) and it was. The menu was not the same and the bar had a limited selection. The ladies working that day (Sunday 9/18), gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly. They also gave us a great recommendation for what beer we might like. We both aren't really beer people and aren't very adventurous when we go out (usually a Bud Light for him and a cider for me) but we both had the Alpha Blonde and it was awesome! The food was very nice as well, I had their buffalo chicken dip and my boyfriend had the crispy chicken sandwich. Both were amazing! I'd love to know if they make the pita bread in house, it was delicious. I forgot to ask for the names of the girls working, but I know one of them was named Olivia thanks to the receipt. Thank you to both of the girls working that day!
It honestly easy to walk right past Morgantown Brewing. Inside, however it's a really nice spot. The burger list is expansive, the beer list is solid, and they have guest taps as well. Also kid friendly and has plenty of space. I tried the hazy IPA, double IPA, the sour, and the Blonde. All were good, but the sour is definitely one you should taste. Overall a good choice for downtown Morgantown.
Morgantown Brewing Company is a very comfortable spot to get some great beer and appetizers. You have to try the pretzel and the buffalo chicken dip.
